Cactus Shadows High School - Home Page

Rika has 12 years coaching experience.  She is American Association of Cheerleading Coaches Administration (AACCA) Certified and National High School Federation (NHSF) Certified.  She is currently EMT, First Aid and Red Cross Certified.  She spent 2 years as a National Cheerleading Association (NCA) Coach and Trainer and 2 years as an Assistant Coach for the Nationally ranked Desert Arroyo Middle School Cheer team.  Rika taught Jazz, Hip-Hop and Ballet at Dance Works Studio for 5 years.  Rika is currently the Director for Cave Creek Cheer, a youth organization that cheers for the CAYFL Youth Football teams in the Cave Creek/Carefree area.  Rika and her husband Hugh have 4 children, Taylor, Paige, Brooke and Christopher and live in Carefree, Arizona.

Brittney has five years coaching expereince. She is American Association of Cheerleading Coaches Adminstration (AACA) Certified and National High School Federation (NFHS) Certified. She is currently First Aid and Red Cross Certified. Brittney has taught dance, gymnastics, tumbling and cheer at North Valley Gymnastics for four years. The 2012-2013 season will be Brittney's second year coaching at Cactus Shadows High School. Brittney has been a Cave Creek resident for over thirteen years. Brittney has cheered in both middle school and high school in the Cave Creek District including Desert Arroyo Middle School and Varsity Cheer at Cactus Shadows. Brittney is excited and passionate about bringing her love for the sport of cheerleading back to her alma mater. Brittney is a Freshmen English teacher at Cactus Shadows. 

Emily began dance and gymnastics at a young age.  She is trained in jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern and tap, and spent ten years performing and competing for a local dance studio.   Her love for dance, and gymnastics training, ultimately led her to cheerleading.  Emily cheered all four years of high school, including two years at Cactus Shadows, where she was a Varsity Captain.  Upon graduating from high school, Emily turned to coaching to stay involved in the sport that she loves so much.  She coached for Desert Arroyo Middle School during the 2009-2010 season and Sonoran Trails Middle School during the 2010-2011 season.  The 2012-2013 season will be Coach Em's second year with Cactus Shadows.  

Emily is National High School Federation (NHSF) certified and American Association of Cheerleading Coaches Administration (AACCA) certified. She is also first aid and CPR certified.  

 Emily is a currently attending ASU as a Speech and Hearing Science Major and lives in Phoenix.
